The USWNT put together a dominate performance to blast New Zealand 6-0 on Wednesday, ending the October international window on a high note.

The most recent meetings occurred in Jan. 2023, as part of 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup prep, when the USWNT visited New Zealand before the global tournament. The Stars and Stripes dominated the Football Ferns over two games, a 4-0 win in Wellington and a 5-0 victory in Auckland.

After splitting their two matches against Portugal, the USWNT is set to face New Zealand in Kansas City, Mo., for the final game of the three-match series.

Similar to the USWNT, this will be New Zealand’s third game in less than a week. The Football Ferns played a pair of matches against Mexico, losing both. They lost the first match 1-0 last Thursday, before falling 2-0 on Sunday. New Zealand has just three games left before the start of qualifying for the 2027 World Cup begins next February.

The USWNT hosts New Zealand on Wednesday in its first appearance at CPKC Stadium — the world's first stadium specifically for a women’s pro soccer team when it opened for the Kansas City Current in 2024.
